Cat and roses original watercolor by Doris Swanson Janet Fish's student framed

This is an original by artist Doris Swanson. She received her formal education at Oklahoma State University and Northwestern Oklahoma State. Other studies, as the description on the back of the artwork, Swanson studied with renowned artist Janet Fish, in New York.One may see some resemblance of Janet Fish's art in this painting first, by the inclusion of the vase and the transparency of the vase and shadows which we can see in Fish's art. Nevertheless, Swanson displays her own unique style in this work.
