Listed artist Oliviero Masi was born in Busto Arsizio in 1948, Oltrepó Pavese is his home. He lately is traveling between Milan and Paris. His art is exhibited in galleries, museums and collections around the world.
Oliviero uses a technique called Venice Molle etching (color engraving etching), a technique in which the artist spreads a composition of warmed resin and with a brush he creates a softer ground. Than he places a thin sheet of paper on the plate and draw on it. As he removes the paper the soft wax sticks on the back of the paper and looks like pastels . This technique dates to the eighteenth century. Check J Charles Françoise 1717-1759.

The art number 88/100, signed on the bottom right.
The condition of the etching is very good.
