Oliviero
uses a technique called Venice Molle etching (color engraving etching), a technique in which the artist
spreads a composition of warmed resin and with a brush he creates a softer
ground. Than he places a thin sheet of paper on the plate and draw on it. As he
removes the paper the soft wax sticks on the back of the paper and looks like
pastels . This technique dates to the eighteenth century. Check J Charles
Françoise 1717-1759.
The art number 88/100, signed on the bottom right.
The condition of the etching is very good.
